When we first received a mail from Shuchita & Nishant that spoke of their intimate destination wedding on Havelock Island in Andamans, we jumped with excitement. When we got talking further, we understood that it’s going to be the most intimate wedding we have ever shot with 30 of their absolutely close family and friends. This destination wedding had been like a dream wedding for us. The four of us started discussing minute details of their wedding right from their decor to their outfits. It felt as if we were helping our friends plan their intimate destination wedding.
Shuchita and Nishant have been in a relationship for quite some time and for most parts of their journey, they lived countries apart. For this very reason, sea was of the utmost importance to them and they wanted to tie the knot with the sea being one of the witness to their beautiful new beginning. We loved their hand made wedding cards and the little heart shaped boxes with MnMs as giveaways.
Shuchita & Nishant’s destination wedding at Munjoh Resort, Havelock Island was spread over two days of celebration. The first morning, we did a pre-wedding session and a part of this was also shot the same evening just before their Mehendi & Sangeet. Nishant surprised Shuchita by giving her a wedding gift by the beach. It was wonderful to see Shuchita’s eyes sparkle with love and excitement.
Their sangeet was hosted by their family and was a wonderful event getting to see so many relatives dance for the first time in their life as Shuchita puts it.
The next morning, was their beautiful Hindu beach wedding ceremony. Their weather was in their favour and the sky was cloudy showering the couple with some drops of rainfall as a blessing. Shuchita did her own hair and makeup and was fantastic at it. For their outfits, they chose the colours of sand and water. Shuchita looked beautiful in a blue long anarkali lehenga and Nishant complimented her really well in his gold Sherwani.
The highlight of this morning was their ‘First Look’. They both were full of happiness and tears when they saw each other in their wedding outfits just moments before the ceremony. They read out a letter that they wrote for each other and it was one of the most heartwarming moment we have witnessed. Everyone gathered for their wedding by the beach and showered the couple with a lot of love.
Shuchita & Nishant’s informal reception was in a gorgeous setup. A long dinner table, beautiful drapes and moody lights. It was just perfect. The couple did their first dance and had family and friends say a few words for them. The wedding party danced the remaining evening and everybody was seen having a wonderful time.
Munjoh Resort at Havelock Island has been a perfect venue to host a wedding. We have to say that the management has been extremely friendly and have treated us so well and have been open to our ideas as photographer’s. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking to get married at Havelock Island.
